The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is now less that 10 days away from its release date, here’s a quick look at what fans can expect from this new LOTR game.
Through this game, players get a chance to step into the shoes of Gollum, and go on a quest to retrieve his Precious. The journey takes you to some pretty gnarly places, like the mountains of Mordor and Mirkwood. And along the way, you’ll face tough choices that can influence Gollum’s split personalities – the crafty Gollum side or the innocent Smeagol side.
Why Gollum?
This game is unique because it’s like a behind-the-scenes look at Gollum’s story, which isn’t fully fleshed out in the original books. You’ll see how Gollum manages to outsmart some of the most powerful beings in Middle-earth, like the Mouth of Sauron and the demon-spider Shelob, and how he survives some pretty intense situations.

Gameplay
The gameplay itself focuses on action and stealth. Gollum might not be a warrior, but he’s agile and clever, and these skills will help you navigate through legendary locations and evade enemies. For instance, you’ll have to slip past Orcs in the Dark Tower of Barad-dûr, and outwit the Elves in Mirkwood.

Split Personality
One of the coolest features of the game is Gollum’s split personality. You can choose to be cunning and wicked, or friendly and cautious, and your decisions will influence your relationships with other characters in the game.
This game is made by a German company called Daedalic Entertainment, and they aim to give players an immersive storytelling experience that’s different from some of the more hyper-realistic games out there. They’ve focused on delivering a game that’s more story-driven and faithful to the Lord of the Rings universe.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is all set to release on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC 25th May 2023.
