Counter-Strike 2, which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2023, recently received two updates. The first among the two updates includes major changes to the game’s buying system and weapon choices which now makes things similar to how it is in Valorant. The second update includes minor improvements to the look and feel of some weapons. These changes have renewed anticipation among players that Valve could also soon be introducing new weapons to the game. The logic behind this is that the update gives Counter-Terrorists more weapon options. To restore balance, Valve would need to give the Terrorists new guns too. Players are coming up with all kinds of ideas for what this new weapon could be. Some of the more serious speculations predict that it could be the AK-74, but that’s not the only option being considered. Other possibilities include the AKS-74U and a Skorpion that could serve as an automatic pistol. The AK-100 and AK-200 series are also in the discussion. On the lighter side, wilder speculations include unusual possibilities like a rocket launcher, an invisible cloak, an energy blade, or even superhuman strength that could send enemies flying. While new guns were an important part of the previous game, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and are expected to be introduced gradually in CS2, not everyone is convinced. Some users argue that creating new weapons requires a lot of work to keep the game balanced and that a poorly balanced weapon can lead to it not being used, as was the case with the revolver in CSGO.At this point, no one can definitively say what the new weapon for the Terrorists will be, but fans are eagerly anticipating this addition. As for the timing, that is yet to be announced.
